my education & training:
B.A. from Amherst College, Reiki I & II Training, Nonviolent Communication (NVC) International Intensive Training with Marshall Rosenberg, Living NVC Hawaii's year-long program with Robert Gonzales, CircusYoga Training I & II, and, on the heels of twenty years of ballet training, a five-year transition incorporating training in contemporary dance, yoga, ecstatic dance, acrobatics and contact improvisation.
experience:
Artistic Director/Choreographer/Costumer of four storytelling dance productions: The Orpheus Project (2002), Five Fiends Project (2004), The Kiwi Bird Project (2006), Descent Into The Sea (2008); nine years of teaching K-12 dance and three years of teaching high school biology; creating a year-long high school curriculum in contemporary dance theatre; creating a creative dance & puppetry component for an after school environmental education pilot project; facilitating individual and group compassionate communication classes.
my current studies & adventures: CircusYoga Ring III Teacher Training; at the moment I'm on a 'dance pilgrimage' touching down on ecstatic dance floors and studying contact improv dance and partner flying yoga--forever grateful to friends, teachers, and the dance and circus/acrobat/yogi communities in Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Ashland, Portland, Seattle, Berkeley, Los Angeles, Earthdance in Western Mass, and New York.
