Growing up, whenever I talked about a future career, my dad always said, "think about what you like to do in your spare time and figure out how to make a job out of it." Hmmm….this was going to be tough, I thought. What kind of job would combine singing in front of the mirror, doing handstands and splits, climbing trees, and reading comic books?

Certainly not Social work—which was my first attempt at a career.  AS it turned out, being a school social worker was no fun at all. There were no trees to climb, or singing in front of the mirror—and there was certainly no room for handstands.

Teaching yoga was the perfect gig for me. I got to do handstands, pretend to be a tree, sing funny sounding songs, and read all sorts of cool books about elephant headed boys and flying monkeys.

Now my greatest accomplishment is introducing children and adults to the power of yogic play. By incorporating yoga, storytelling, games, humor, and music I help remind folks just how essential play is in developing happier, healthier, creative lives.

"It's never too late to have a happy childhood."
